The Artist
Juliana Ferreyros
Juliana Ferreyros is an internationally renowned Colombian artist and interior designer, known for her abstract works, which are rich with emotional depth and technical innovation. Currently based in Miami, Florida—after nearly a decade in Dallas, Texas—Ferreyros has built a solid career founded on bold experimentation, spiritual introspection, and environmental awareness.
Working in various mediums such as acrylic on glass, wood, synthetic paper, metal, and fabric, Ferreyros creates immersive and layered compositions where color flows like water—spilling, swirling, and settling into forms that feel both accidental and deeply intentional. Water is a central theme in her work: a symbol of life, emotional fluidity, and ecological urgency.
For Ferreyros, abstraction is more than an aesthetic choice: it is a language. Guided by intuition and emotional instinct, her process is spontaneous and deeply personal. Every gesture and every brushstroke is an expression of vulnerability, transformation, and connection. Her work speaks to the inner landscapes we often struggle to name: dreams, conflicts, healing, and spiritual awakening. Her paintings, simultaneously meditative and explosive, invite the viewer into a space of reflection and emotional resonance.
Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, receiving numerous awards and recognitions. She was the only Colombian artist selected for the prestigious 'golden edition' of 30 Selected Contemporary International Artists, published by the Museum of the Americas. Additionally, she has been honored by the Art Basel Miami Concept Fair, the Museum of the Americas, and the Morocco Biennial, and has received official commendations from the Texas House of Representatives and the Consulate of Colombia in Miami, among other distinguished institutions.
In 2025, Ferreyros was named Artist of the Year by Women of Power / Mujeres de Poder, a distinguished honor that celebrates Latina women who are making a transformative impact in the arts, culture, and the community.
Her powerful artistic presence has been featured on Univision, Telemundo, and in various publications across the United States and Colombia.
In essence, Juliana Ferreyros's art is an act of liberation—a surrender of the soul through color, movement, and emotion. Her vibrant universe invites you to pause, reflect, and rediscover yourself through the raw, healing beauty of abstraction.
